Allyson Felix
Allyson Michelle Felix was born in Los Angeles on November 18 1985. Paul Felix, the father of Allyson Michelle Felix, is a minister ordained at Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix works as a elementary school teacher at Balboa Magnet. Felix displayed an early talent for athletics when she was attending Los Angeles Baptist High School. Her sprinting ability at the at the time. In only 10 weeks following her initial attempt, she placed second in the 200 meters race in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. In 2003 Felix graduated from high school having signed a professional contract with the sports company Adidas and then enrolled in the University of Southern California where she was studying elementary education. Felix was awarded her first Olympic Medal in the 2004 Summer Olympics which took place in Athens Greece. She broke an Junior World Record taking 200m in 22.18 second. She became the youngest world champion of 200 meters during the Helsinki World Championships. She won the title again in 2007, beating her former Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix took part in Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo and was consistently among the top three athletes in each of her events.
